HTC touch. or say the p3450. i just acquired this marvelous device yesterday from a seller in lelong called jason. he's a nice chap, willing to take my P1i as a test drive and so am i doing the same with his HTC touch in my hands.

the whole idea of HTC making a similar device to the apple iphone is to allow people to control the interface of the phone that they are using... freely. yes you got it right. touching indeed is one of our senses and giving your hands (or fingers to be exact) a chance to take control one step further is as good as upgrading your current kitchen with a robotic cook. ( funny...)

the overall build quality is superb. i dunno how they manage to make this by just cramping all of those nifty nifty things into such asmall device. HTC did a great job of shrinking the whole XDA 2S into this... ( which xda 2s is indeed a HTC product.) i have used previous windows xda phones. xphone 1, xda 2, xda 2 mini, xda 2s. all of those are once the king of the pda phones and till now they still are... despite the last xda2s i used disappointed me with it's failed power buttons and other hardware buttons, i'm ready to jumpship into HTC touch for it's adverts on the TV, on the newspaper, billboards... and bla blas...

black is nice. yes. HTC brings the soft black as the primary line in the touch's series. this color pulls the inner luxury of yours out and giving you that sense of elegance integrated into your daily life. the first trip with the htc touch is my outing with bryan to the TOW FOO pond in kundang. yes, it's an outdoor activity but unlike other elegant phone (lg prada for instance.) this htc touch comes equipped with a soft pouch that transforms itself into a ready outdoor machine for your sport usage. quite good for that so you don't scratch the phone around or things like that...and once i'm back home i just remove the cover and i'm using a elegant phone again while i bring it out to the curve, ikano, and bla bla... superb i'd say.

windows mobile 6 is nothing but a knick knack upgrade. having just used windows mobile 2003 in the xda 2s (i can upgrade to WM5, but i didn't...), i find it much easier to use compared to the good old days. in fact, i have to update the firmware of this htc touch to some version 2 firmware which includes proper input keypad and keyboards. not too bad huh...

ok, cons, straight up. laggy. not the too laggy but remember you're carrying a portable computer in your pocket so with those ram and rom exposed to you you've gotta understand what's what and what's not.... so having multiple programmes running in your background ain't good (p1i didn't gave me that problem due to it's 160MB of RAM...). so you'll actually encounter those weird things like lack of memory even though you closed all your applications... something like that...

touch response not that sensitive too. so maybe you need to hit it harder than usual and don't need to worry of it's solid built quality. Sony ericsson p1i didn't gave me that solid feel so i'm worried about that p1i when i'm touching it's screen but this... trust me, just knock it hard with your finger tips and the screen is still intact...

1st of all... i went fishing today. and met this uncle Albert. he's a nice chap who chats with us (me and bryan) and taught us about lotsa things in fishing and IT... (yeah, IT...). we were in the legendary Tow Foo pond!!! yes... it's pak Aziz's ( the cook i assume) birthday today so i got that extra piece of cheesecake mr Wong's family bought for uncle Aziz. such a fun and pleasurable place where you can actually enjoy and in the meantime fish for your big hunts... nice place to be. i strongly recommend those youngsters out there to stop clubbing so much and get your young asses off the computer chair and get out fo house come to these places and do some activities related to outdoors and nature.

in fact, i was actually on a trip to sabah, KK to be exact during my trip back to JB last week. we were there for 3 days of pure travel with my family, 3 cousins and granma. gosh i can tell you i have this one cousin whom i can't stand her. serious, if she's being bitten by an ant she'll just knock your head off with her scream and jumps... kanasai a bit also... ( i pity her boyfriend...) such a pampered child... can't take this and can't take that... and what's worse??? they can't bear the bitter gourd taste!!!! ( omg... what a waste,,... you're in JB... and you won't get this thing around malaysia!!!) OMG......... WTF... we just travelled thru the KK and went up the crocker range, KK hill foot, poring hot springs, canopy walk, eat seafood kao kao, the island hops... very happy with the island hopping thing. went snorkelling there but the things i saw is incomparable to the great barrier reefs... (the fishes... and the lack of super huge cockles... si ham...)

having a trip like that isn't cheap, but dad paid for it a lot too. then the day we come back to JB they went to singapore to shop and hang out while i cut my hair and relax my day in JB. such a fantastic way to relax visiting joyce's saloon... hahaha... i drove my terios back to JB of course, so i can actually use a car while i'm in JB... joined the johorean kembara club members for TT too and i met up with BuzD. such a wonderful trip.

back... and i switched my P1i (got bored...) to a HTC touch yesterday. hmm, superbly nice. like the concept. a bit the not so smooth but i'm thinking of a way to smoothen it. hope it works...

so this is it. the 2008 finally is here.

went out today with my family just right after my wake and we hit the pandan beef noodle house. it's still the same as long time ago. haha... then went to city square for dvds and sis's superstar. me get nothing. sob. hahaha... (usual la)

went out with pey shan. she's still as pretty as always... and very happy to have her as one of my best neighbours since kindergarten. (serious). we had coffee in lavender (illy finally) and we chatted till 6 something.

night dinner at home to the countdown and went out to bowl with shung and sue ann. but hte more important stuff is to get mom a birthday cake cuz her bday falls on the 1st of jan. so nice right. so neething. just got her a simple tiramisu cake from SDS and while waiting for the new year to come we watched those countdowns on astro. nice. celeberated mom's bday, then they start watching SAW 4. not a bad show but a bit groass and xtra confusing. but damn nice and cool... hahaha...

2007 seems like a year of transitions to me.

things change. very fast. even dear quanyie also noticed about it and complained about me being an old man... ( oh yeah, you too... you old granny...) but for all my friends which i had contact last time, they are actually not here with me anymore. i'm back in JB for this short time. and all i called was khaiwan and khamael. the rest, i dun think they are here. usually they busy= me free. then they free= me busy. what the hell. but what to do, i doing something not so common. they call this 自逼... something like that in the chinese... if i'm not wrong. but hey what's the wrong...??? i've always dropped into a deep hole like this... nothing wrong for chin keng shern to be like that...

resolutions for 2008... hmm... get a good life again. stay healthy is the main thing nowdays... other than dat, get more money. so with more money you can actually do more things such as buy car, buy things you like... go do exercise more. go fishing, go offroad, get motorbike license, get HAM radio license... get a new car??? (options are charade, starlet, cooper S, fortwo, impreza?)

2007. biggest thing is i got hooked up with someone i love very much. and she's MICHELE!!! and luv her lots. i dun care, we're around for almost a year so i dare say we're so meant to be together... and i do see promises around us. so i happily proclaim us to be a couple and hope long live long live... (hahaha...) dear, luv you always... muax.

2007 is also a year of me splitting up with so many friends. there are so many issues with them. the huge one is my ex Si Yun, whom so many ppl wtill asks about her when they met me. i like her so much but since both of us can't get the long distance working out, it is better to give in. she is a very good girl and clever one too... she taught me so many things. another issue is with one of the good friends of mine. very close friends but suddenly shut my door of contact with him cuz of jealousy... OMG!!! thats so old school...

2007 also marks my year of starting off early in my U among my other friends in STPM... of course i'm not as fast as those during my SPM year but STPM is a good experience to understand how UNI life is. and i tell you, i enjoyed all my STPM year, didn't study untill last minute, and i still manage to get thru and stay in APIIT/UCTI for this long. not bad for me. i'm just like a gecko who doesn't fall when i kena attack. not bad at all.

so 2008 1st jan mom's bday and dear's already heading back to UNIMAS. so i hope Dear you have a good time there, enjoy herself, take good care of yourself. mom and dad thank you for everything you gave me and to sis i hope you take good care of yourself in australia. for me, i pray hard for my Cooper S... hahaha... all my friends.. (although not a lot)... success in everything. don't need to reach the 100% if i'm your case but if i can touch 50% of it, it's a good thing itself already.
