August 28 1st week 2nd sem.hiak hiak. done my first week. somemore if i'm not wrong some 13 weeks to go... haihz. first impression. APIIT is getting smaller. yup. it needs space now. i need space to grow. getting packed with indonesians isn't a good thing cuz they simply inhale your share of hte APIIT oxygen as well. my gosh. most of the population in my classes are made up of indons. say 70% of them. oh my gosh. that's so terrible. and for the 1st whole week, i've been fishing around in the school cuz the lecturers basically didn't taught anything. just wait for the class to end and i've got my attendace. simple darn easy. parking is a problematic thing again. more and more ppl buy cars to come to school, but in the end they don't know how to park their car!!! (not even knowing how to double park???) my gosh. luckily with small car comes with big possibilities and early classes, i've always nabbed those prime places cuz it's 8.30 in the morning and heck no one is crowding in the carpark. (lets see, if got someone come and double park in front of me and didn't leave any note on their dash, careful... be really careful...) speaking of the little car... thinking of pulling out the passenger seat and installing one of these. nice?  August 25 haihz... back in KL. new home.shifted in to new house. it's in Ken Damansara 2 condominium, to reach here from puchong side, you have to make a turn after the KDU's building go ahead to sprint highway heading the NKVE then make a u turn underneath the DJ school's flyover. then go ahead, make another u turn if you see the signboard heading to ss17. from the bangsar and kl side, just keep it near the tropicana plaza (upcoming big shopping complex) and prudential building, which is damansara intan. there's where i live. the place is nice. got swimming pool, good guards, squash courts. and it's windy. if you wanna come, do let me know earlier so i can apply guest or visitors pass. will be holding an invitational cocktail kinda gathering. do look out for your phone's or emails. environment here is fantastic. i've got a pool side view of the condo. quite windy at night. i don't even need to switch on the air cond at night. it's calm. and cool. very. the swimming pool got htis little bridge there. super shiok. haha... today my cousin came with his mom. which of course, is my aunty. and i can tell you guys, if you've read my blog. this kid is damn biadab ( in malay it means bad attitude) he's super self centred and he cannot be treated at least a little bit bad. he's got this pampered kid style. which i hate it very much. what the hell. can't stand him. pampered kiddo. kanasai. he's going to be primary 1 next year. and he still like this. haihz... let him kena bullied kao kao larh. busy to go out and treat that boy again. haihz... August 14 boring in johor bahru....ok Chin. stop looking at things to splurge... it's bad for your wallet's health. (bla>)... dunno why recently i just have this urge to splurge on something. the LG prada phone, the sony P1i, the w960i, and now recently... ( just a few hours ago, yeah) an antique fishing reel. speaking of fishing... i've not fished for almost a year. and now i'm residing in KL. where the posibility of getting a peacock bass is high. so... why not bring my gears up to KL to fish??? hahaha... LMAO... neeways... went dinner with ah wang, ah ho, pei chii, and joker.. tmr night Joker's bringing me back to KL. since he's coming up to KL for training... why not? actually mr.Henry also coming up to KL for MPM meeting. so i can actually tumpang his car together also. cuz i went to school today to get my STPM cert. met up with mr Beh, Henry, ms Sheela, and puan Kalthom. haihz... chill ya. but i managed to get to see pn Kalthom smile... ( rare occasion lol). but being a troubled kid in school during my secondary school days... i caused really lots of problem for her. (oh i'm so proud of being naughty till the max).... ok back to topics... JB is boring. serious. nothing to do. me and ah wang wandered around yesterday like some ghost kena let out of the hell gate like that since yesterday ( yeah, the chinese 7th month ghost festival is on)... so we wandered around from afternoon go eat beef noodle, then go see the mitsubishi lancer GT, then go panjang there ( our 4x4 shop), then go see chop chop shops, then go jusco have coffee (lavazza), then go chop chop shops again, then finally let ourselves rot in ah wang's house waiting for ah ho and joker for dinner.. hahaha... JB chop shops... cannot tahan d... nothing nice... i saw a toyota cami black color cami sport variant grille.... i think sure selling some 200-300 price larh... rare stuff but it's not worth it to buy cuz mine is a daihatsu and i'm not going to change every part of mine to a toyota ain't???? ( although we do saw the cami front grille, the engine is no where to be found... where's the K3VE-T??) finally, hitting KL again... here i come metro city.... August 13 in a land called johor bahruit's been a while since i'm back here then. think think. 3 months? yeah, shud be. ok so i've finished 1st sem... my 2nd sem starting this coming week. so fast... and i wish to rush it over, so i can go on to 3rd sem... hahahaha... quite boring during the holidays. nothing to do. very very boring. nokia still haven't called me regarding the 8800 replacement D cover. but i've sold my 8800 to someone else who'll know how to appreciate the phone. i'll be raising money to buy another phone. replacing the nokia n91 all together. it shud be either the LG prada phone or the sony ericsson w960i. considering also the sony ericsson P1i, S500i, or just a simple k810i. well... i'm not going to review the nokia n91 now. it's not so appropriate. having only the phone itself to me know without a camera isn't a good thing to do a review. lets see... think i'm going to plan what am i going to do when i'm here in JB for a few days. AGENDA -go to bank -meet DK-san -probably find TSS -pack my espresso machine -pack fishing gear -eat bittergourd soup well. seems boring. but trying to get everything done in these few days.. haihz... and i have to confirm my train tix asap. if not i'll end up dunno going back to KL by what transport... ( donkey???) ratatouille : rat-a-too-ee.... cool movie... i watched the preview. very nice... a little rat with the big hopes of hitting it big in paris... again, as the same with te simpsons and fantastic four, i'm not going to tell you what the details are. so i'll leave it to you all to visit the cinemas on 16th august 2008 to witness the nice peice of pixar film again... cool de le cool. meanwhile, i think i gota go hit some sleep. higways nowadays are full of drivers who owns nice cars but dunno how to drive, they hog up the traffic like as if they own the whole road... especially singaporean drivers... i dunno why they like to stick to the right lane when they aren't overtaking... haihz... louya drivers who started driving when they hit their 20s... go back and watch too fast too furious again.... nitez then... August 06 nokia 8800 review. + blog entry.Ok, why not i just do the blog entry first??? finally, exam kong already. nothing much to be said... did quite badly cuz i can't memorize everything ( so hard to memorize... how to squeeze in o...) so, practical sense+ nonsense = senselessly write lo... but serious. getting to remember things in Uni is so different than remembering things in STPM. maybe because STPM still the teacher spoon feed you. but in Uni, you've got to get your hands on experience, things like practical, programming, bla bla bla... haihz... tired... so after shung's and sony uncle's birthday party yesterday, (dinner @ shogun). damn full that day dunno why also ( had 2 plates of sushi only ma... nothing much nothing less)... haihz... finally shung turned 21. and the next is going to be me. eveyone's hinting... is it a hint for me to be old??? OLD???? what??? oh my gosh... kanasai... old already... sob sob... ok, speaking of OLD.... nokia 8800. what relate it to OLD??? cuz... it's an old man's phone. sophistication - where clothes maketh the man, or it's ' phone maketh the man'? it's not just an old man's phone. it's not OLD to that OLD... it's a phone that changes you from toy phones to real phones. it's a phone to change you from statusless to status. holding this will grant you access to some extra things in nokia service centre. instead of polishing your normal watches in a watchshoppe you can now polish your nokia 8800 also... it's just.... god damn filthy rich phone. well i got it for quite a deal (i'm not going to tell you guys how much i acquired mine. tough job). well... the phone. it comes with a sleek black box. super black. ever since i saw the box of this phone with my friend back in johor bahru that time after we went for bowling. we already vowed ourselves to get our hands on one of these. well guess that i've got mine now and my friend still haven't got his. the big paper box. with a metal clip holding the box like a book on the bookshelf. ok enough of the box. it's nice for hte contents inside. after a series of flipping thru the brochures inside the box which welcomes you. finally. there you see. the priced piece of stainless stell metal phone sitting on it's tray. without the battery and still the phone in the plastic casing. it's so damn nice. sleek lines curvy top and bottom. yum yum ( what the...) first thing you do is to play with the open mechanism. it's cool. like gsmarena.com said with their review. it feels like zippo lighter when you close it. yes. it does sounded like that. but i've never gotten that sound when i was to open that device. it's perfect. (try not to swing open the device so hard. it might vomit it's top part out)..... hahaha... the device is clad in stainless steel. yes. nearly the whole phone is stainless steel. thus making it heavy and solid. the back cover is a big piece of steel and it measures a whopping 0.5mm thickness... imagine using this high quality stuff for the nokia 8800. super cool wei.... it's a lot better than other steel or metal phones out there. serious. closest that i can come to before the 8800 is nokia n91. (0.3mm i think... )... but of course, it loses it's appeal to nokia vertu line. the build quality is good. solid like rock. the top is glass-like sapphire surface so that it's anti scratch. cool de le cool... only part of plastic on the phone is found on the back ( antenna... have to... ) hey, compare LG shine also you'll get the back plastic piece, not the whole thing as metal... same goes to motorola v3. the keypad. it's nice to touch and feel. and of course nice to click. it feels like it have some ball bearing device like the nokia vertu as used here. it's all individual keys unlike the sony ericsson fashion mobile s500i, which is a keypad moulded out of a single piece of plastic whic tends to break halfway. this keypad on the nokia 8800 is superb. it's got the nice feeling of response of a spring that pushes you backwards untill you give a momentum shot for another key. great effort there... hey, i'm reviewing s phone that's around 3 years old. what can you expect? it beats the hell out of all other phones keypad. but one thing is that, the keypad layout is a bit the tricky. if you notice it clearly, the two soft keys are located just below the screen. and the call end keys are just below. there's 2 faux keys there which will mistake you for soft keys if you first use it... ( hey, sirocco's dummy set the key is not nice to press as for the soft key, not hte keypad).... hahaha... there's this push bar thing on the middle of the soft keys. which is dimpled so you can get friction on to push the top part upwards for the screen to move up. user interface wise... right. it's....... basic. no functions at all. yeah. remember. this phone is not a usual everyday ah beng ah lian lala girl lala boy phone. it's not a phone for you to boast who's mp3s are louder, who's speakers are better (hey, nokia 8800 is the best. imagine harmonics are done perfectly that you can listen to four seasons as clear as the bose system? can your nokia n70 do that???) it's got a normal symbian S40 user interface. yeah. something kinda like the nokia 6100 ala type. maybe a little bit more advanced but i dunno how advanced it is.. it's a v2 if i'm not wrong. ( correct me or ...) the best screen saver i can find it is the analogue clock which looks super damn posh when you have it on your phone. ringtones wise it's a fabulous machine that come pre loaded which ryuichi sakamoto's tunes. appreciate having those ringtones than belting out your fav song thru mp3 in some mini speaker phones. display if i'm not wrong shows a healty 262K colors. well, for me it doesn't really matter. all my wallpapers are either in grayscale or black and blue. so it's not a big problem to me. it doesn't have wifi, it doesn't have 3g. camera isn't also a good one for this moment. ( considering the 3.2 mega pixels nowadays...) haihz... why people shouting over mega pixels which they dunno that it's the lens that counts??? who cares. as long i've got the more pixels i have then i win. what a joke... well i'd dare say this ain't got 3.2 MP, nor 2 MP, not even a 1.3MP, and not even a freaky 0.3MP. nope. not at all. but it's got one. it's a 0.8MP cam. it's a QVGA camera. better quality than 0.3, VGA. but not so big sized to be resolutionized with. consider a phone like this. you don't need one camera on your phone. if you can afford on one of these phones, you might as well spend some money buying a decent camera... right or not??? what the hell... things come to an end. bad pointS??? yup. there are. is that finger prints are always there. yeah. it's a no go away stuff. but if you're onto the fashion phone sectors, get ready to get your phone to be polished every once in a while ( autosol works on this one). use the pouch given (i've not, i've got another pouch).try not to sweat. cuz the sweat will smear inside the glass surface and it'll smear the inside surface of the phone. battery life sucks. if you're intending on buying this phone. be prepared to bring along a 2nd battery if you're on a field trip. but the package comes with a 2 battery pack. so it's not bad to actually get nokia to come out with this idea. ( normal battery is lithium ion, + the maximum discharging of the phone thru metal surfaces. hmm... ) lasts one and a half day for my normal use. but you can put in on the dock everyday to charge along with another spare battery on the back of the phone if you want to... verdict. i'd say, this phone selects owner. if you're some kinda person who likes future events more than classsical, don'tget this. if you like the momo design, salvatore, mont blanc. get this. if you like louis V, prada. get this. if you like nike, adidas, go get your toy phone. if you like harman/kardon, bang olufsen, bose, get this. if you like creative, sonic gear, edifier, get your toy phone. if you like lexus, BM 5, phantom, get this. if you like your typical nissan skyline, get your toy phone. if you like to have cocktails, lounging, weekend getaway, get this. if you're into clubbing, gaming, wasting your time... go and get your life... the 8800 clearly suits the owner. not the owner suites the nokia 8800. as they say, clothes maketh the man ---- now i say, phone maketh the man.   up stop. nokia n91. August 01 middle of exams... and i'm still alive... haihz...lol. what's with this exam thingie. it just kicks me and now i'm like... halfway hanging in the middle of apiit's exam hall... FSD. ok this is serious. no tips, no revision, no lessons ( partly) or no jargons too at all. just pure coding... i was presented with an array code and what i did was all those nonsenstica useless answers. like for example arrays. i wrote the whole 19 keyboard.nextInt() stuff and my hands got so pain. is there a easier writing way of it??? haihz... till just now. watched american dreamz. dunno why i suddenly wanna dig up all those Hugh Grant movies to watch. serious. i watched his Bridget Jones diary, About A Boy, Notting Hill, and now, american dreamz. the same goes to me trying to catch Brad Pitt's movie, and Matt Damon's. hmm, speaking of which, the bourne ultimatum. it's coming out isn't??? shud be brilliant... over the LG prada phone now. lucky. why, even before the first glimpse or first touch, then i say dun need to buy. one thing. the keyboard. i tend to sms on the road. and if i put the phone on my hand and a keyboard that is a glass surface, i tend to not recieve any tactile response to it. this kills me you LG prada... lucky i nv buy it... phew... HTC touch. yes. the new mobile to conquer iPhone just like the LG prada. apart from being having a lousy touchscreen... ( stylus pointing device, not meant for hand), you still have to pull out a stylus to tap your way into words... boo.... and also, no tactile feeling.... boo.... iPhone!!!!!!!!!!! disgrace. apart from the fancy gimmick and name you got there, and every single guys have got it since it came out in the US... it's like a phone for every Tom Dick and Harry, in my case, ah Seng, ahmad, and angalla... everyone wants one. the keyboard has got no touch response. the surface get soiled with facial oil... the device cannot be battery replaced, the sim card cannot be taken out. haihz... call that for the price? i'd rather buy a xda IIs. direct shoot at those 3 phones. with a winner to choose from if i will is the prada. i like the prada. just, maybe next time. later. well... expect a long review of both my phones next blog entry? i will do so. ok, i promise, i won't sell that 2 phones away... the marvellous nokia 8800 and the nokia n91. meanwhile, can anyone give me ideas... a panerai, or a bell and ross??? |
